History Of Spider-Man Costumes In Live-Action Movies & TV Series [Infographic]

Owing to a surprise reveal of the MCU’s brand new Spider-Man in the second full-length trailer for the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie, the wall-crawler has become every comic book fan’s and moviegoer’s favorite topic of discussion, and with the movie set to hit theaters this May, the Spidey-hype has no intention of dying out any time soon.

What most people are discussing, given the limited amount of info currently available on Tom Holland’s version of the web-slinger, is the new suit, and how it compares to older versions, specifically the threads Spidey donned in Sam Raimi’s 2002-07 trilogy. While we’ve already discussed the new costume, its “shutter eyes” and possible Steve Ditko inspiration in our post on Civil War’s second trailer (linked above), we haven’t yet compared it with past designs.

If we had to pick, we’d go for the Steve Ditko-inspired Civil War costume. It’s a classic, and has a more minimalistic feel compared to its relatively recent predecessors, which makes it a great first design for MCU’s maiden take on the character. Which one is your favorite?
