Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Date
The long-awaited sequel to 2017’s beloved Hollow Knight might be finally gearing up for release. Revealed back in 2019, Hollow Knight: Silksong revealed its second gameplay trailer at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase earlier this week.
While the indie Metroidvania game doesn’t have a definite release date yet, there were indications as to the maximum time period within which its release is planned.
So When Will Hollow Knight: Silksong Be Released?
The official Xbox Twitter confirmed that all the games shown off at the aforementioned Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will be “playable over the next 12 months,” including Hollow Knight: Silksong. This means that the game will be out at any point before July 2023.
That’s still a ways away, though expectant fans now finally have the latest possible release date.
Silksong follows the adventures of Hornet, foe turned friend of the original game’s protagonist, who finds herself in a vast new “haunted kingdom.”
“As Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song. Captured and brought to this unfamiliar land, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak.”
The game’s two gameplay trailers showcase the same deep, punishing combat, fast-paced platforming, rich story, and beautiful art style that made its predecessor such a hit.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available on PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Game Pass on release day. It isn’t yet available for pre-order.
