Download All Old And Latest Official iPhone, iPad, Mac Wallpapers
While Apple is known to have kept both its desktop and mobile operating systems on a tight leash when it comes to cosmetic customization, you can’t accuse the Cupertino outfit of being frugal with wallpapers. Each major update to macOS and iOS to date has been parceled with a set of beautiful new wallpapers that you can burn through before you feel the need to go looking elsewhere for your next desktop background.
If you have fond memories of the wallpapers you enjoyed on your old Mac or iPhone, you’ll be pleased to know that a charitable soul from the Reddit community has taken the time to collect nearly all wallpapers that Apple has ever bundled with macOS or iOS, including those featured in promotional material, putting them together in two neatly arranged archives that you can use to look for and download your favorites.
The iOS archive starts with iPhone OS 1 to iOS 3, going all the way up to iOS 11 and iOS 12 – the latest stable and beta builds, respectively. It also features a section for wallpapers from Apple’s Home app and, as mentioned, one for those used in promotional images.
The macOS wallpaper archive is particularly impressive. Apart from all past and present collections, starting from System 7 and Mac OS 9, and ending at macOS Mojave, it features separate sections for promotional wallpapers for various Mac releases, including the 2018 MacBook Pro refresh, as well as an album for upscaled 5K variants.
