Resident Evil Village (RE8) PC Requirements Revealed

With a little over a month left till Resident Evil Village is released, Capcom has updated the game’s Steam page with its system requirements. A more detailed list of minimum and recommended specifications has been published to the game’s official Japanese page, complete with recommended requirements for those who wish to leverage ray tracing.

Like last year’s Resident Evil 3 Remake, the game will feature a “Prioritize Performance” graphics preset that, the developer estimates will be able to churn out 1080p at 60fps on entry-level hardware. Capcom’s RE Engine, which debuted with 2017’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, has been kind to low-end rigs so far, and it looks set to continue that tradition with Resident Evil 8. A disclaimer at the end of the system requirements section does warn, however, that framerates “might drop during graphics-intensive scenes.”
