Resident Evil 2 Remake: All Locker Codes & Safe Combinations
Capcom’s 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake is best played without help the first time around. The feeling of dread that you feel exploring the dark corners of the game’s world for equipment, codes, and solutions to puzzles is what puts the horror in its survival horror experience. With two characters and two slightly different storylines to play through, however, some portions of it do tend to feel a tad redundant during repeated playthroughs, such as having to look for locker and safe combinations with the Tyrant chasing you around.
If you too are on your second or higher playthrough and are looking for a quick way to clear out the closest safe or locker without the extra legwork, you’re in luck. Following is a compilation of every safe and locker combination in RE2.
Note: Just to reiterate, if you haven’t finished the game at least once yet, we’d suggest you give that lock another go. Clues for certain lockers and safes come later than you’d expect, at times after leaving the area.
RE2 Leon’s Desk
Left lock code: NED
Right lock code: MRG
You can find Leon’s desk on the far side of the West Office in the Raccoon City Police Station. There’s a little puzzle linked with the two locks on this desk. Unlocking the desk yields the High-Capacity Mag. for Leon’s Matilda pistol or the Speed Loader attachment for Claire’s SLS 60 revolver.
RE2 Locker Code Combinations
3F West Wing Locker Code (Police Station): DCM
2F Shower Room Locker Code (Police Station): CAP
Control Room Locker Code (Sewers): SZF
Lockers yield different ammunition depending on whether you’re playing with Leon or Claire.
RE2 Safe Code Combinations
1F, West Office Safe Code (Police Station): left 9, right 15, left 7 (yields Hip Pouch)
2F, East Wing Waiting Room Safe Code (Police Station): left 6, right 2, left 11 (yields Muzzle Brake for Leon’s Matilda pistol or High-Capacity Mag. for Claire’s JMB Hp3 pistol)
Treatment Pool Room Safe Code (Sewers) : left 2, right 12, left 8 (yields Shotgun Stock for Leon or Hip Pouch for Claire)
