First Official Concept Art For DC’s Justice League Movie Surfaces

The official Facebook page for DC Films just updated its profile photo with what is the first official concept art for its upcoming Justice League movie, offering up maiden sneak peaks at Ezra Miller’s The Flash and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, and a better look at the garb of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman front and center.

Green Lantern is, however, missing from the ensemble, indicating that the art might be for the collection of heroes set to make appearances in the first in the Warner Bros. series of Justice League-themed films – namely, the much-hyped Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is set to come out March 24, 2016. Of course, that is if the rumors regarding the studio’s plans for the character are to be believed, which claim an appearance at the end of the first Justice League movie and that the casting for the character is yet to be finalized.

The second Dawn of Justice trailer already gave us a good look at Ben Affleck’s Batman, Henry Cavill’s Superman and Gal Gadot in her Wonder Woman apparel alongside villains Lex Luthor and the monstrous Doomsday while a photo of Momoa in costume as Aquaman was revealed in early 2015. The concept art reveal of the two remaining members of the League shows a true-to-the-comics Cyborg and a slightly altered adaptation of Barry Allen with a more modern-looking lightning insignia.

The image was uploaded to the official DC Films Facebook page in preparation of The Dawn of the Justice League TV special scheduled to air on the CW at 9:30 P.M. PST, which is expected to offer up more details on the characters along with a second trailer for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie.

Exciting times ahead for DC fans, it seems. Let’s hope

The Justice League Part One is set to hit theaters on November 17, 2017. That’s quite a wait, but there’s no denying that there are exciting times ahead for DC fans. Let’s just hope the series’ prelude starts off on a high note with Dawn of Justice.
